The body of missing Florida teenager Madeline Soto has been found, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said in a release press release on Friday. Search teams from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office found the body of the 13-year-old boy at 4:30 p.m. local time off Hickory Tree Road, in a wooded area. The teen's family has been notified, the statement said.Earlier in the day, Sheriff John Mina announced that investigators were "now satisfied" that Soto was dead. She was last seen around 8:30 a.m. local time on February 26, wearing a green sweater, black shorts and white Crocs, authorities said.On Wednesday night, authorities arrested his mother's boyfriend, Stephan Sterns, for sexual assault and possession of child pornography. Sterns, 37, was the last person to see her. Authorities said they found disturbing images of a "criminal and sexual nature" on his phone, and said they discovered attempts to suppress evidence through phone data. Jail records show Sterns is being held at the Osceola County Correctional Facility for sexual assault and possession of child sexual abuse material.
